Chief Operating Officer

(all genders / based in Eschlikon-Switzerland)

You are responsible for the operational core business and its optimization with a focus on organizational and process-oriented issues. You report directly to the CEO, relieve and keep him informed about the daily business. You will develop decision-making bases and solution approaches, taking into account the corporate values and their culture.

Based on the business plans of the local entities, you will initiate suitable and feasible solutions and set best-practice standards. Furthermore you establish and maintain a uniform operations KPI system, control and operate KPIs and intervene in case of deviations. You ensure uniform corvaglia production standards at our existing locations CH, USA, Mexico and our future locations. You generate structures that allow a continuous exchange of best practices at the sites, create guidelines for the procurement of production infrastructure. Your responsibilities include the evaluation of suppliers and comparison of all cost types in the P&L of the Closure Business Units that are directly influenced by Operations and their. You generate technical and operations knowledge and make it available to the General Managers and Operations Directors of the business units.

In this role you are a sparring partner for General Managers and Operations Directors regarding resource planning and production control.

For this challenging role, you will need a degree in General Management in the plastics/packaging industry and experience in 7/24 shift operations in a mass production is required.

You have at least 15 years of professional experience in general management (COO, CEO or similar position), preferably in an internationally oriented SME/industrial environment with a high export share and with C-Level responsibility.

In addition, this challenging position requires at least 15 years of leadership experience with at least 200 employees, organised internationally.

We are looking for an entrepreneurial, communicative personality with strong leadership skills and the ability to focus, structure and prioritize needs and tasks and ensure their implementation. You think analytically, are well organized and adept at applying methods. You describe yourself as a self-confident and seasoned leader and easily convince others of your ideas through your sound experience.
